We left the Gold Coast behind us this morning.

We made a quick stop at a local café to pick up takeaway chais, and then we were on our way.

The drive from the Gold Coast to the Sunshine Coast felt rather monotonous, as we traveled along the major motorway for most of the way, but it got us there quickly.

We arrived at Ivory Palms Resort in Noosaville in the early afternoon. Upon our arrival, Dana immediately exclaimed, “Wow! Don’t we look fancy!” which made me laugh. I know Dana prefers the Aussie Outback and a simple, down-to-earth lifestyle, but I thought we deserved one night in a resort with all the special extras.

Ivory Palms Resort in Noosaville is a serene resort that offers a blend of comfort and luxury. Nestled in the heart of the Sunshine Coast Located just minutes from the Noosa River and a short drive from the famous Noosa Main Beach and Hastings Street.

We decided we needed a relaxing day with minimal activities.

The weather couldn’t have been more perfect.

In the afternoon, Dana and I ventured to Noosa Marina, just a kilometre away.

Noosa Marina was a delightful oasis nestled by the water, offering a serene escape. As we arrived, the sounds of live Country music greeted us, instantly putting a smile on Dana’s face. The atmosphere was laid-back and inviting, with people lounging around, enjoying their drinks, and simply basking in the peaceful surroundings.

We took our time wandering around, soaking up the soothing vibes of the marina. The gentle breeze off the water added to the sense of tranquility, and the picturesque views of boats bobbing on the water completed the scene.

It was the perfect spot to unwind and recharge, away from the usual rush of tourist attractions.

Noosa Marina had effortlessly captured my heart with its charm and relaxed ambiance.

No trip to Noosa would be complete without a visit to Hastings Street.
Walking along Hastings Street in Noosa is like stepping into a coastal paradise. Lined with trendy boutiques, bustling cafes, and upscale restaurants, this iconic street exudes an irresistible charm that captivates visitors from all walks of life.

As we strolled along the palm-fringed boulevard, we were enveloped by the vibrant energy of the bustling street.

We continued our leisurely stroll we couldn’t help but admire the stunning backdrop of Noosa Main Beach, where the waters lapped against the golden sands. The scene was postcard-perfect, a testament to the natural beauty that defines this coastal haven.

As we crossed the street, we also took a moment to admire the sunset over the river.

The sky was painted in hues of pink and orange, casting a mesmerising glow over the tranquil waters. We paused for a moment, captivated by the beauty of nature unfolding before us.

Hastings Street had captivated us, leaving us enchanted by its beauty and charmed by its warmth.

We enjoyed drinks and dinner at Noosa Beach House.

The restaurant boasts an inviting ambiance with sleek, modern decor.

I adore the spaciousness of the open windows, where patrons lounge both indoors and outdoors on an array of cosy chairs and bar stools, relishing their meals, beverages and company they share.

To cap off the evening, we indulged in a traditional Finnish sauna session back at the resort, followed by a refreshing dip in the pool.
Entering the steam sauna was like stepping into a sanctuary of warmth and relaxation. As the door closed behind us, we were enveloped in a cocoon of soothing heat. The air was thick with steam.
With each breath, I felt the tension melting away from my muscles, leaving me with a sense of profound tranquility. Beads of sweat glistened on my skin, and the gentle warmth seeped into my bones, easing away all traces of stress.
Once again, sauna had worked its wonders on me.

Sitting there in the pool, gazing up at the star-studded sky framed by palm trees, I felt my soul calm and my energy restored.
